Equitas Scholars

We offer a number of scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need.

These scholarships are valued at approximately $11,000 per school year, which includes after-school tutoring  or enrollment in the intensive IVY+ Accelerator course.

Due to the value of each scholarship, the academic rigor of the program, and the level of dedication provided by the program’s coordinators and partners, the Equity Initiative is highly selective. Candidates must:

Educational Justice

Educational Justice is a local non-profit striving to end educational inequity and level the playing field for students from under-resourced socioeconomic backgrounds. We are strongly committed to empowering the next generation of change agents. As part of this mission, we want to support students who show proactive leadership in the areas of service and social impact. One amazing way students can get involved with and give back to their community is by becoming an Educational Justice Mentor.

Educational Justice mentors gain access to exclusive seminars and events and receive discounts on tutoring services.

Future First Academy with
Jefferson County Public Schools

In 2025, Equitas Prep partnered with Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) to launch the Future First Academy, a first-of-its-kind pilot program serving high school students across the district. Running through 2026, this project operated in compliance with the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act to support eligible youth, including those experiencing housing instability.

By bringing students together for targeted weekly sessions focused on ACT test prep, the academy dismantled critical resource barriers at no cost to families. The program successfully empowered JCPS scholars, helping them maximize their exam scores, build confidence, and realize their long-term college aspirations.
