Our Commitment to Equity
Equitas Prep is committed to closing the education gap by providing equitable, personalized support to students
from all backgrounds, ensuring that every learner has the tools and opportunities needed to reach their full potential.
Equitas Scholars
We offer a number of scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need.
These scholarships are valued at approximately $11,000 per school year, which includes after-school tutoring or enrollment in the intensive IVY+ Accelerator course.
Due to the value of each scholarship, the academic rigor of the program, and the level of dedication provided by the program’s coordinators and partners, the Equity Initiative is highly selective. Candidates must:
• Be enrolled in the 9th, 10th or 11th grade
• Possess a minimum GPA of 3.5
• Qualify for school or governmental financial assistance (free or reduced lunch)
• Commit to the program’s 90% attendance policy
• Be highly motivated academically
• Demonstrate a home environment supportive of the student’s success in the program
• Be able to attend an interview with a parent/guardian
Educational Justice Activists
We are strongly committed to empowering the next generation of change agents. As part of this mission, we want to support students who show proactive leadership in the areas of service and social justice. One amazing way students can get involved with and give back to their community is by becoming an Educational Justice Activist.

Educational Justice Activists gain access to exclusive seminars and events and receive discounts on tutoring services.
ACT Equity Initiative with the Louisville Urban League
In 2022, the Equitas Prep partnered with the Louisville Urban League to provide JCPS students the best tutoring experience in Louisville at no cost to families. This program, which concluded in 2024, helped countless scholars to broaden and realize their college aspirations. Each year, nearly 200 participants benefited from the intensive ACT prep program, fostering greater educational equity within the Louisville community.

We continue to partner with organizations to provide ACT preparation and tutoring. If you are interested in learning more, please contact us.
